Earlier this year I purchased a LHD Manual trans 2004 120 series Euro spec Prado (D4D) at an insurance auction. Vehicle was purchased in AZ but now resides in MT.
My intention from the get go was to swap the entire mess into a GX470.
The powertrain was severely damaged in the accident- block, bellhousing, and Tcase are visibly trash. Maybe more.
I have purchased a 1KZ block, and some New OEM timing cover components for the build.
The vehicle has been stripped apart, although the rear portion (behind front doors) is in tact and storing everything but the engine, trans, (e-locked) rear axle, and front diff.
I have since acquired a 4.7 supercharger and am
more interested in a supercharged GX.
