I have been looking to buy for about a month here in the North East, but there has been a $4-5K premium above MSRP. Today, I was offered exactly what I want for MSRP (no premium). What is happening with pricing? If you bought within the last month or so, what price did you pay?

MSRP. Not a penny more, or less either.
and i got a long wait

Just about all the dealers I've sniffed out wanted over MSRP two months ago, now all are willing to sell at MSRP.

MSRP, waited about 2 weeks.
Lowest I've seen reported is $1500 off MSRP, but I do not know the details. Most seem to have paid MSRP, a few the premium, a few $500 under.

Thanks

Thansk to all who replied...now I have to get up the nerve to spend all that money. My plan is to paint the '76 the same blue as the new FJ...

I ordered mine ten weeks ago. Got a call from dealer on Friday, he has a silver one. I ordered black. Then I called Temecula valley toyota. They had six on the lot!!! So I made the thirty minute drive and bought the blue one. Black one had to many extra's that I did not want. Sticker was $32,000. I went with the blue one, sticker was 30,500.00 I did not want the running boards so he took three hundred and fifty off. And I still have the running boards. I cannot believe I waited so long. Come to find out this dealer has been moving a boat load of FJ's that is why they have so many.

I don't understand why so many people have had trouble ordering what they want. I went in, told them what I wanted, they ordered it and it landed today in Houston. They never called and said, we have such and such on the lot, do you want it? I will let you know if what I ordered is what I get come next week!! (:

You're not really "ordering" a unit, but rather "locating" one,... all dealers in the region share that ability to locate a car at any dealership, and at or on the way to the port.

mt dealer finally told me last week that the could not locate one, so they had to go back to the factory and wait for one to come off the line.
said i wont have a VIN for about two weeks, and delivery anytime from that point to 4 months.
i paid MSRP too, youd think they would move a little quicker. i was an easy sell, in and out in 5 minutes.

Try another dealer, and insist on a VIN number on a signed contract if they supposedly locate one for you. And remember, car dealers are lying if you see their mouths moving.
