May be a long shot but looking for a MPR FJ43 hardtop. Looking at extending my 40 to allow more rear room. I have a decent hardtop now but if I could find a 43 hardtop it would make it easier. Closer to Martin Tn would be better but will consider what’s available.
Thanks Brad

The MPR tops have sliding glass on the sides. At least mine does! While you are at it look for replacement seals for the side and back door glass.

Thanks I’ll keep them in mind. I do like the one piece side window on the MPR.
The MPR top has a better aircirculation through the roof

Maybe only @KSU Cruiser knows anything about that steel top
@youngmanchego in another thread says he can bring to the US steel hardtops for the FJ43

I think it is @KSU Cruiser that is bringing one up for his 43?

Just in case a MPR is hard to find

I'm indeed bringing an FJ43 steel hardtop (BJ46/FJ.co style) back from Colombia. It's coming along with an FJ45 tub for another mudder. Keeping the two members anon, though they're welcome to chime in here! We've encountered a comical amount of delays because of the resto on my 1973 FJ43 (the original ETA was late September *facepalm*). At last, we're just a few weeks out. I'll do a write-up on the resto once everything is stateside.

Also, the first of many huge shoutouts to @bernardbar3 for his incredible amount of help with this process and to Jose (mud credentials to follow) for his consistent check-ins with the fabricators in person, in Bogota. @devo 's photo of the white truck with the unpainted steel roof is Bernard's rig and the yellow 43 below is Jose's 1974 (both things of beauty).

Cheers,

Sawyer

This guy is near me here in Portland. If you make it out, you may want to have some extra room in your trailer. Looks like he has a ton of neat stuff listed

" A thing of beauty!" You about to make me tear up :)

I don’t like the rear overhang. Going ls and tons but would like a hardtop.

@Taz72 are you familiar with the MPR hardtop?
Here are a few photos of the interior.
