Hey there folks, long time since I've been around the forums, but between working, planning a wedding, and planning a move to Raleigh I haven't had a lot of free time, plus the bearing on the output shaft of the transfer case of my 40 went out.... So yea, I just haven't been in the landcruiser mood for a while (please don't shoot me!!)

My question is this, I'm getting married on July 20th and moving to Raleigh on the 31st. I need to get the landcruiser up there, but since the bearing on the output shaft is out, I think trailering is probably the only way to go... So, I've started looking at the various rental truck companies that offer trailers and tow dollies. I know I need to get a car carrier, not a tow dolly, but I'm worried about the 33in. tires on the 40. None of the various carriers say they can accommodate the 33x12.50x15 size. So, what do ya'll do when it comes to trailering your rigs? If none of the rental companies have a trailer that will work, does someone in the club have one that I could borrow for a few days?

I appreciate any thoughts on this matter! I apologize again for being so scarce the past few months, life's just been crazy.. ya'll know how that goes.

I hauled my 40 with 33x9.50's on a car carrier from uhaul from Grand Rapids Michigan to Greensboro. We just aired the tires down enough to get the tire straps to go over them, then used some heavy duty ratchet straps to make sure everything was secure and everything went fine. Just make sure if you do go that route that the carrier you get has enough good solid anchor points.

Also tell them you are hailing a miata and not a landcruiser....you can also take the straps and put them over the axle....hauled mine back from alabama like that. Good Luck

Did you get settled into Raleigh yet? Wedding go OK? An update to the update would be great. :)

Welcome to ONSC country!
