I'm moving to Anchorage next month, any recommendations for parts/service for an 03 LC? Just purchased DT headers but I may have to wait until I get to Alaska to get them put on.

Without vehicle info it's hard to make recommendations like miles what has been done and what hasn't
It's bone stock (for now), 170k miles. I plan on putting 1.5 OME, and ARB front bumper, DT cat-back, and K&N before making the drive. So yea, I'm just curious if anyone has any firsthand experience with reputable shops up there for getting the headers installed and possibly a remote start.

Everything in AK is more expensive, keep that in mind. Personally not a fan of K&N. Cause more problems than they solve but they sell a lot of stuff so most people don't agree with me. Everytime I buy a vehicle or motorcycle, I take them out and go back to OEM. To me you are paying for a name and the OEM engineers who design the whole car are smarter than people who sell filters that NEVER go bad, with maintenance of course. Good luck with the move. These are very capable vehicles in stock form. That's coming from a guy with a built 100 of course, almost everything you mentioned above.

FATS Autoparts tends to have good prices and has been able to find most of the parts for my 80. The rest i have to prder and have shipped from cruiserparts.net. they have yet to disappoint me. And welcome to Alaska, been here 6 years this time and a total of 10 together. Absolutely love it.

Very jealous, best of luck in Alaska! My last visit was in 2011, brown bear hunting on Upper Togiak lake. Flew in and out of Anchorage to Dillingham then float plane to Upper Togiak. Stunning place everywhere I went including Anchorage. A link if you're a hunter ...

Once again, best of luck, your LC would be sooo valuable in Dillingham all cars need to come in by boat, lots of 70s and 80s vehicles there ...

:)

Block heater.

Good idea, but Anchorage isn't all that cold compared to Northern NY, North Eastern Montana or Minnesota, but yeah block heater
