She was a joy to drive for 18 years and my daughter who had borrowed the car walked away, so all I got is love for this rig. Looking for another 100 series in NV, CA, OR area.

59,000 miles on her. Had to fight like hell with the insurance company over what she was worth too. SMH
Glad your daughter walked away unscathed, that's what counts. A friend of mine hired a 3rd party appraiser to fight for the value of his son's low mile Taco - really paid off for him. It was an interesting, but I assume, common, dilemma - both cars were insured by the same company.

Awesome protection for your daughter. Glad to here.

I worry about my 2002 with 73K miles. How to deal with Insurance company if it gets damaged or totaled.
I'm keeping a file of BAT Auction sales just in case.
How did you handle the appraisers for your results?

Bummer on the LC but grateful for your daughter’s well being. Went through similar situation and we got another 100.

Not too many low mileage LC/LX around that’s driven. I do see this LX on Craigslist in DFW area. Not sure how legit, etc. though.

I was about to go the appraisal route, but either the insurance company or the third-party valuation company (depending on whom you believe) pulled an underhanded stunt and when I called them on it, the insurance company turned around and the next day offered me the highest amount of any comp I’d found at the time.

I have since learned there is a thing called an agreed upon value policy. I would look into that and when i eventually find another, i will go that route. In the end, I got what the truck was worth, but it took over two months and a huge amount of frustration.

Thanks, I’ve run into two scams in California already, the same car posted for sale in a couple of cities using pics from Bring a Trailer. There is a car on here in Oregon that looks pretty sweet, not sure if it’s still for sale. Luckily I am not in a hurry, there are other cars in the family to drive until I find another one for me to baby.

Sorry for your loss and glad everyone is ok. I know the feeling 1st hand. My Collector's Edition 3X locked 80 was stolen and Progressive Insurance said they would give me $6300 for it...WTF! They don't care about BAT, cars here for sale, on Marketplace or anywhere else. They have their algorithm they use. I didn't accept it and said I would get legal counsel. They tripled the amount but still, it's not enough for me to purchase another one just like mine. So I am in the market for a 2006/07 LC/LX470 as well. Unless I can find another 80 just like mine.
Also make sure ya'll check your comprehensive coverages. They only covered $1000 of my upgrades.

Glad to hear your daughter walked away from that - these things really are tanks. Note on the agreed value policy, they usually come with restricted use ie no commuting, no driving to school, etc.

I insure my e36 M3 with Hagerty with an agreed value of $20K, but I only use it for cars and coffee, bmw club tours, etc.

Yes ---^
I wanted an Appraised Value too.
I tried to insure my 2002 LX470 when I first purchased it when it had 24K miles but Hagerty refused.
Lot of stipulations before they will insure.

OP, you didn't keep the car did you? or buy back? Looks like it was sitting in a lot, so I assume you didn't.
I'll buy it from you if you took back possession.
