I had to wait months to get the least popular color.

thats awesome. i needed a new background on my cell phone, thats going to be it! hah

btw, i noticed the white landcruiser...oh i mean the truck on the lift with the wheels off, doesnt have the white walls facing out. If i had a white truck ied have the whitewalls showing...just my observation.

But aren't you the kid that put every part that came in the little custom car kits on the cars :)

Why when you pay retail price for something would you advertise for the tire company?

I wouldnt be looking to advertise, I just like to match things. Im getting my grille painted to match my upper color, heh.

No, i never even painted them, i just put them together and put the decals on. On the airplane models i painted them.

What is the white truck on the lift having done? The suspension looks old, so not a lift, so what is going on with that one? Also, looks like the whole back axle is removed.

Christo,
On the 100 that is sitting on the ground with the Sahara bar on it, does it have the trim on the doors removed or is it just paint matched to the 100. I'm curious to see a 100 with NAS door trim removed. Thanks!

Suspension is only 2 or 3 months old. The truck is getting ARB's and 4.88's. Axle is still in there, just can't see it.

Greg, the truck on the ground has the door trim painted white.

White?

White is good for chicken or clam chowder,But for LC black is the way to go:)

White! The color where you don't literally pass out from heat in the desert sun. Black cars in warm climates ain't worth it. I passed on a great black Hundy in favor of a tan one for that very reason.

Also, white hides dirt, scratches, and dings much better. That and what Pskhaat notes above are the reasons why it's the color of choice for hard-core expeditions world-wide.

Either the LX has lots more insulation or there is a huge difference because of the paint color in the summer sun between the Jade Green on the LC and the Golden Pearl (white) of the LX. Thankfully, the 100 has a great A/C system so dark colors are bearable. I passed on lots of black 100s when looking, the green one was hot enough.

White is the most popular in OZ AFAIK, I was thinking about silver but really wanted white. I got a surface temperature probe and stuck it on different colour vehicles in the sun in the lot and the whites surface temp was 10 degrees celsius or 18 degrees fahrenheit cooler than all the other colours except silver, and it was 8C or 15F cooler than it. This is the paint surface temp. (No black cars on the lot) This was on the weekend (Lot closed) so I didn't get a chance to measure the inside temps, that would have been interesting I think.

Re Colors and temp...
Remember seeing a test once, where the internal temperature was measured, to see which car is the hottest in the sun.
What they found was that although the surface temp was higher on dark cars, they also emmited more (easily) heat, so that the inside temp was the same. Only exception was that the red car was 1 degree hotter.
