More light from military housings (1 Viewer)

Has anybody removed the the original inserts, and let more light out of the military light housings ?

The housings have character, but would like to make them a little more functional

I use those lights on my M416 trailer but with these lenses. *Military Truck Jeep Gama Goat Rear Tail Lamp/Light M561 M38A1 M151 (Pair)

These are plastic and not as robust as the smaller lens you have pictured. But they are a lot brighter.

I put LED replacement bulbs in the military lights on my M101cdn, made a big difference.
