How do you remove the Moonroof window trim to gain access to the nuts to add shims? Mine moves up and has wind noise. Seals are tired? I do not wish to break the trim. Shims I have heard fixed this problem.

When it rains, it does not leak internally but I get "sloshing" of water in my rocker panels. Is there a fix for this - evidently the moonroof drains are working but the rocker panel are not.

There are slit drains at the bottom of the rocker panels, you can clean them with plastic zip ties. The interior plastic molding around the sunroof becomes very brittle from sun and heat IME, expect them to break. The photo shows a broken tab and was taken looking at the front left corner of the sunroof glass, the molding being removed is to the left above the US driver's side door. Once you get the screwdriver in place give it a twist and the clip might pop out without breaking. First do a search for sunroof+leaks and water+rocker+panel in the 80 forum.

Nice Pic!

Thanks for the nice pic Kernal! Guess I should budget for trim also. I know the shims are available so will order those. I will attempt to be very careful. Looks like the tab breaks easily.

There are four sunroof drain tubes; the two front tubes drain directly inside the rocker panels at the rear of the front fenders, the rear tubes drain back at the rear of the quarter panels. If the rocker panel drain slits get clogged with mud, leaves, or muck they can fill with water. If the tubes themselves get clogged the drain pan can overflow. Search also clogged+sunroof+drain+tubes.

In this photo you can see the left front tube after the end was pulled out of the rocker panel to check for kinks.

Thanks Kernal - I have heard that you can take some weed eater line and try to free up the tubes. I like the zip tie idea for the rocker panel drain slits.
