Is there anyone interested In starting a montly trip for LSLC?? Seems to work pretty well for TTR. We could take a 2008 calendar and just go through it at the December meeting and pick a destination for each month I.E. (1) JAN. Gilmer (2) Feb Terlingua (3) August Colorado and so on. That way people could plan out their scheduals in advance. Maybe put a poll up each month here on the forum to see what date the most could attend for that paticular month. It could be as simple as a camping trip to someones land or camping on the K trail In Clayton to the Moab, Colorado, Terlingua type trips. I would just like to see us getting together and doing something again like we did when I first got involved with LSLC. here are a few old pics i found to remind yall of the good ole days. I know I have a bunch of TP's and Texicans back when she was yeller. Just havent found them yet! Anyways anyone have ideas post em up anyone even remotely interested post it up.

So is no one here even remotely interested in this concept??? Or have any ideas on how to make it work best???:frown:

I would be interested in it. I am still in college so i might not be able to make them all but i would love to go wheeling with this club.

Sounds like we have a volunteer for our events chairman. :D

Go for it Todd. If you plan it, they will come.

Well I would think January is taken care of with the Jamboree. Febuary is the Terlingua multi Chapter run. March of course is Roundup. There first three months are taken care of. August is reserved for Colorado. And October is ICBM. The Hot Springs Superlift park is very nice and of course there is clayton. Anyone have anywhere they would like to go let us know!

I think its a great idea and I appreciate your enthusiasm, but these trips require a lot of time and money (mainly for the gasoline), because everything is so far away. I am still recovering from my big adventure wheeling in the Maze.

the bad thing about Texas is there are just few places to go. If we were in 4 Corners area, one trip of month would be easy. Texas just doesn't have much in the way of public land like almost every other state in the west. what a shame.

I like it and I second the nomination for Todd to be the events coordinator.

I agree with all of this, but I think the monthly trips need to be close by. Maybe on months we have a big trip planned, we also have a local one set up for those who can't go across country. Local meaning within 3-4 hours or so.

In the July blank - my family is planning on Black Hills.

Are you going to the meeting Panzer??? I need to get the Colorado DVD and pic's to you....

Todd- I am on shift til 9 so I'll be at the meeting around 9:30
Jason- I edited my earlier post to add a local event TBA on the big trip months and I added Bridgeport OHV as the Sep event.
For "local' venues we have basically got - Clayton, Potoeu, Gilmer and Bridgeport to choose from unless someone comes up with another.
I would like to hit bridgeport either as FEb or May local event so we can check it out and see how suitable it is for what we like.
Maybe we (you) can get the web guru to add this to our LSLC page.

Dont for get about the superlift park at Hot Springs. It very nice there and has the added bonus for the girls to run into town and play. Which is a good bonus for people with wives or girlfriends who arent into the wheeling as much. And also dont forget about just plain old camping trips to public or private land! Heres a link to the Houston club they make a run to the beach and just fish and hang out together. Now that Im thinking of it they made it open to anyone in any club I think Chris Smith AKA TinStar is taking his whole family to this run and Im going to follow!
