Officer Reports

  • VP
    • Shared intent to leave trail rides and meeting as scheduled for the rest of the year, despite potential lack of interest. Interested parties can use this site to arrange off-schedule rides as they see fit.
    • Requested that interested parties please post clear their intent to join events; e.g. "I'll be there".
    • Banner update - .png logo file requested from TLCA. Banner will have CLC logo on left, TLCA on right, with "Colorado Land Cruisers" between, in Land Cruiser font; "Est. 1996" in small font below.
    • Logos reviewed and newest option selected by vote (5/6 present)
    • New member, Duke M., nominated for membership and approved on unanimous vote
    • LCPilot to post thread about t-shirts
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
    • Reviewed March minutes and trail ride
    • Another public lot proposed for "lesson" events - NE corner of Palmer Park and Powers, between Wendy's and Golden Corral
    • Look for venue for Cruisin' for a Brewsin' - all
New Business

  • Member outreach/growth - we need to complete a plan in time for Coloyota (May 17)
    • Rough plan will be to establish a meeting point along 300, north of 320; to write directions from Denver, WP, etc.; to establish a lunch spot where LCPilot will set up for a hamburger lunch and cook for attendees, and a planned list of trail rides (option to include hike to Devil's Head)
    • LCPilot will work with @Goslow on the details (since they know every trail down to the pebble)
    • Duke to develop a flier, for print and web, in Illustrator, once the plan is complete and the date is set
    • Target 1st or 2nd weekend of June so people don't forget after Coloyota
    • LCPilot to follow up with Coloyota organizers (email from Randy) re: booth space
    • Post an off-schedule trail ride to prerun the selected trails
  • TK470 spoke with the President of another club and got the idea to hold "Cruisers and Coffee"-style events. Not a meeting, just a low-key gathering, perhaps with a cookout or similar. They meet at Cobb Auto - need a parking lot venue.
  • We could "crash" a "Eurasian" meet - believed to be held at Caffeinated Cow
  • COS80 to get details on pricing etc. for supporting group membership in Blue Ribbon Coalition, who is doing good work to keep trails open all over the West. We will review at next meeting and vote on support. If cost is considerable, we will discuss alternating years with CORE, which is already $250.
Meeting adjourned at 8:09pm.

CRASH THEIR EVENT! I went to it one time, some nice toys their. I told @raisinhell2 to go before for business because there were some solid axle LCs.
