Time to put one of these on the purchase list. Would like one big enough for salsa, but course enough to grind stuff like coriander and dried chili's. What do you use and where did you get it? Prices are all over the map online. And any pro's-con's on granite vs volcanic?

They are good to have around. I found ours at a yard sale for $2 and my wife had one when we got married 48 years ago, hers was white ceramic and didn't have the legs, just flat on the bottom. I agree the prices are all over the place. Good Luck in your search.

Always had one in my house growing up and have three now. Volcanic is my preference

I have a volcanic one and like it well enough.
before the first use, make sure you prep it well. I won't go into details on the process because there's tons of info on the googles...

$25~ at Target, works for me...
