So when I bought my LX450, the gent who sold it to me included a Slee rear locker actuator guard. Much to my disappointment when I went to install it, I realized It has no protection for the wiring back there like the factory guard. The factory guard is thin but it is relatively stiff and offers protection from slung rocks and sticks. The Slee guard does not. So I did a little bit of modification to get some protection back.

Area that will now be exposed without any mods. Which is where two plugs, a penetration and multiple wires are located. Facing forward towards oncoming obstacles and flung rocks

Final fully protected install.

Man that turned out nice! My brother in-law made a locker motor guard for me out of stainless years ago that also lacked the harness protection you pointed out. He saw it as well when I went to install it and we were supposed to come up with a solution like you did. Unfortunately that fell into my “when I get around to it” category and is still sitting in my work bench 10 years later. Thanks for documenting your solution and supplying some motivation as well. Nice work!

I appreciate you saying so. I respect the engineering talent of Mr Slee, but i can’t get my head around the lack of protection for the wiring and such. Oh well. Fixed now
