ohh let me talk to cathy...aka the boss..

Never been, would love to go. Plan is to at least try to get the time off - would make for a great road trip.

We are talking about it. I think the dates are May 4-6th, but my kid's spring break is April 11th-15th, so we may go then instead.

Still planning on this trip, I've never been, where would be a good place to camp?

Last Year Cruise Moab was based out of BFE, it's a new campground with adjacent OHV trails. No first hand experience with it though.

More of a "where not to go" than an endorsement, we stayed at Slickrock Campground and I thought it was a pit. I'd rather camp in the supermarket parking lot.

Portal RV resort just down the street was much nicer. Very clean and well maintained. As "in town" campground go it was a 9.

You'll really want to be in town as most of the trails start from side streets around Moab.

Ditto Dan's comments about Slickrock Campground: It needs a lot of TLC including new 'tude from the ownership/help ;-/. But that's where ground zero is again for CM so if you want/like being in the thick of it then that's the place to be ;)

I think I will probably motel it if I go to CM again...

I thought a lot of people stayed out at BFE?

It's cool RS tried a new venue for the CM2010 site to try to have the entire group together but it was a hassle being 34-miles round trip from Moab...and very windy out there to boot.
