the tires still rub a bit but im going to try to make up some 1/4" spacers to give me a bit of room

looks good Guy. Way better than my weekend... work sucks!

looks great !

kindof a novel idea with cruisers eh? to be able to turn the steering wheel and have the tires actually turn...

( and not just creak and mock your feeble attempts.)

where'd you guys get the steering shafts from? that was one of the things that always pissed me off about my sag conversion, the crappy "pto" steering shaft I had.

thanks mark and ryan..im pretty stoked about it. actually i kinda wish i was working more....need to start getting more time in the shop. but soon im sure i'll have more than enough time in the shop im sure...just gotta get out of school first! hey, anybody have any 6 bolt brake rotors kicking around? i need the centers for some 1/4" wheel spacers, the boggers are still rubbing a little bit on my spring packs...

I bought a flaming river shaft that i was happy with....if i were to do another conversion though i would use a place in vancouver called steering solutions. the guy there KNOWS his stuff...and is also a cruiser head (runs a '73 FJ40) he has everything from the box, pump to the shaft and u-joints...found him when i noticed i screwed up my u joint order from FR and had to get a borgenson sent over night from van...but yea....im pretty stoked about the steering...even with the big tires and at a standstill its still 1 finger steering....so nice

cool, I always hated the steering shaft I had but I'm such a cheap bastard I lived with it for 6 years...:hillbilly:

Kinda funny, I'm dealing with the polar opposite to saginaw at the moment, the 109 I'm building , is still together with all the rover garbage, and the steering box is just about seized...holy fxxx is it hard to turn the wheel ...think I'm going to twist the steering wheel right off next time I move it....

Thats enough land rover bull $hit.:flipoff2:

sorry for the hijack guy but somebody has to keep the oceanspud in check...

haha no worries, cant say i disagree....i mean...i dont even know why he's still calling it a rover, more cruiser in it then anything else

think of it as a bj60 with an ugly aqualu kit made by pommies... ( kinda nice to never have to think about rusty quarters or wheel wells.)

big question, is whether to soa it or not....:grinpimp: ( probably not...yet.)
