John, it looks like the site is currently down in some areas but ill check it later to see what happened. Was your link supposed to go directly to the story?
It was my first visit to the site. Looks like their "mission statement" mirrors the CSC one! A casual group that is pretty active.

Sounds like an unfortunate situation. Appears like he went out for the proverbial "pack of smokes".
