Does the awning have a adjustable height bracket or anything hiding? I like the low stored height, just wondered if it raises before deploying

Looks like it’s ready for action now, compared to back then.

It's always evolving. That was just a pic of it after the new bedside installation. Had an unfortunate spotting incident. Was still able to order a new in box beside from toyota. Under $400

Side walls of bed rack are slanted upwards so the awning works fine for sitting in shade and sleeping. Can stand under the outside edge
