Mirror adjustment & switch Panel access / disassembly

Hi Guys & Gals,

I'm wondering what the best way to access the mirror switch panel is... the one just left of the steering wheel with mirror adjustment controls:

I'm looking for the best way to pull the blanks so that I can put in a light switch for some LED's. Do I just pry them out with a plastic remover, or is there a better way. (I took the picture from someone else's post). Just looking for the best way to remove the blanks, before I start breaking plastic.

Pop the knee bolster panel out - super easy. then access the switch panel from behind.
