Need a little help. I just bought a 03 Hundy LC, and it is black with grey bumpers. Lots of swirls, some scratches, and some rock chips. Overall, in good condition, with no oxidation. I got a quote from Ming Auto Detail, for their "process" and to repair the rock chips. The price is $600.

First, can anyone comment on this process, and 2, are there any alternatives to Ming that will help bring the black back to original (as much as possible)?

Any comment and help is appreciated! :)

My Ming experience

I had the Ming process done on my car about 6 months ago. It looked great right afterward. It was warrantied for 3 years so I thought if if it stopped looking great, I'll bring it back. I brought it back this afternoon to get an earful of the things I did wrong. Must wash with Meguiar's soap using a soft sponge or mit. Towel off with a micro-fiber towel while using Meguiar's Quik Detailer as you dry. Do not dry in circles- this causes swirls. Do not use a car cover- dust gets under there and screeches up the paint. I don't mind following these rules, but it's a lot of work. If you get it done, make sure you take good care of it. After 6 month or so, it might start to look like you never had it done. Had mine done on an 08 vette that had a couple of chips in the paint. The paint touch-up rarely comes out perfect.
