Miller-Lockwood is on the club calendar for Saturday, May 16, as a day run; with a camping option for Saturday night.

We will start on the Lockwood Creek Trail. onX OffRoad rates this as "Moderate" trail (rated 4/10) and is about 9.9 miles long. It then connects with the Miller Jeep Trail. The Miller Jeep Trail is rated by OnX as a slightly harder "Moderate" (6/10) trail about 2.9 miles long. The trails should be suitable for stock 4WD's with good ground clearance & good tires (unless conditions have changed). However, stock vehicles will likely need spotting in a few locations on the Miller Jeep Trail section.

This is a club day trip for those that want to head home after running both trails; several of us plan to camp at the top of the mountain at the end of Miller Jeep Trail. Those on a day trip can continue down the mountain on dirt roads and re-connect with I-5 at Hungry Valley.

Let's meet at the Flying J Travel Center near Frazier Park. It’s right off I-5, at 42810 Frazier Mountain Road, Lebec, CA. We’ll meet at 9:00 AM, and then head over to the trailhead. Please reply to this post if you intend to join the fun! Rich (@rpfzj80) will be the Trail Leader and plans to camp. Check in on this thread as the run date gets closer and we will provide updates if needed.
