I picked up brand new un-used military version of the Mile Marker 10.5K hydrualic winch. MM is willing to sell me 12v versions of the solenoid coils to replace the 24V units.....but feel like I should be able go to local supplier of valves and get them.....uh cheaper. $100....or am I being a cheap sob....well thats a given but...
Does any one know or can find out the model / part number of the sterling solenoids on the 10.5K lb hydraulic winch. Went to the Sterling site but couldn't get any hits on the coils from the numbers on them. :bang: Then of course I'll need a new(er) front winch bumper but thats a seperate issue. :meh:

where did you get the winch? from MM?

Could try Newark Electronics, find someone with a cataloge, they carry alot of stuff and are super quick.

score!!!

Thanks for the lead but found a dist for the coil mfgr, got the coils for $20 each. Heehee  Also got a control lead for $10. :bounce: It was on clearance at a wrecker outfitter in Tx. Looks like a ramsey that lists for over a C note. I'm also going to build a small relay box wired so I can add wireless to it later.

Source of winch is a guy in Marietta Ga. He bought 4 of them thinking they were warn electrics. Told him to hook up the hydro so he wouldn't continue to burn up his 12K warn on his Scout II. As far as I know he still has three. If you want one, go to atlanta craigs list. Tell him Greg sent U. So now all I have to do is build a bumper... I think I will see if I can use the hummer mounting plate as the center part of the bumper. Sigh....:hhmm:

can you list contact info and/or links for your sources for the coils and control lead?

searched and couldn't find the seller...

thanks!
