I'm ready to quit teaching and go work for Profitts in Utah.

I do not want a young hot wife or an Italian sport car for the same reasons.

The prospect of another 20 years living in Naperville and teaching their a****** kids in the abortion we call the American public school system is gonna make me eat a gub.

Anybody got one I can borrow?

That sounds like a great plan.
Bonn can work from home correct?
Chicago vs Colorado no brainer.
You are further from the kids assuming they are not in tow.
PYS can start at the Gum crib.
Cost of living has got to be cheaper.
Rockys!!

What are you waiting on?

About half of them are my old mans. Some are at my house, some are at his.

Which ones are weird?

I guess the .41mag is weird, but it was an almost new Smith that fell into my dads lap (he will buy any gun for a good price). Plus its the same gun used in the Dirty Harry movie.... Most people don't know that...fun conversation piece I guess. Plus the gun is beautiful.

Other than that....seems pretty standard. :D

Any will do. I just need it for a minute.

Gosh, it's good to have friends!

If you drop it, and scratch it, once you're done with it...I'll kick your ass....

Not wierd, just looking at use specific stuff. Anything you can get shells for at wallyworld is common guns you would find in houses around here. Thats 13 of yours. 45-70 is a moose or bear gun, little overkill for iowa critters, 303 brit is in the class of 30-40 krag and i am guessing from grandpaw. 30 is probably a M! and another war relic from family. 8mm is either another pass down military as in 8mm mauser or your planning on alaska canada big game as in 8mm rem mag.

So to rephrase those are the unique ones and they are most likely ones you inherited. Nothing weird at all. Nice to see things beyond your typical walmart cal guns

That was my thought. IF your going postal on someone then there are options, If your using on yourself I dont want it hitting the floor or bathtub when your done.

I find it funny that Gumby's thread has become a gun thread...he doesn't even like guns....pinko...

The .45-70 Marlin (old version, not new) was my dad's. When I was little it was the "extra gun" so they made me wrestle with it and deal with its punishment. He gave it to me after the 6th or 7th deer I got with it. It is overkill!! but hunting Northern Wisconsin on deer drives means I have to sit in thick woods just off a deer trail, and that requires fast shots (iron sights, and leaver action) and requires the round still being relevant after it has gone through bushes and trees. For that purpose it is amazing and I have shot most of my deer through thick bush.

The .303 brit is an enfield. I absolutely love that gun. It is as accurate as anything we have and fun to shoot (heavy), but hard to carry through the woods (heavy). Last I checked more elephant had been shot with .303 british than any other round. (mostly due to British colonies in Africa, though)

The .30 carbine M1 is kind of a piece of junk, but its fun to load up the 30 round clip and go shooting cans (not 'cans), ammo is expensive and hard to find though.

The 8mm is a 1921 (i think) hand built Herman Weirauch. We didn't know what it was and he was going to give to me as a long range deer gun. But once he figured out what it was and what its worth....we both decided that wasn't a good idea. I think it is sitting in one of those gun libraries in a Cabela's somewhere right now....

Gumby - Come start a 4-wheeler shop here in KC - instead of teaching stupid kids, you can deal with their parents! : )
