MFD issue

Several questions in this post...Thanks in advance for your help!

1. I am unfortunately starting to get symptoms of the MFD issue in my '04 (check AC connection - then it shuts off for a time). I thought it was in here somewhere but haven't been successful in finding it when searching so I thought I would ask the folks here. I am looking for the steps to remove my MFD so I can send it off. Anyone know where I can find that post?

2. Is Mr Whizard the best solution to send it off to fix? Just looking for feedback here. I have heard that Denso also has them for about $750? Just looking for current consensus on replace or fix.

Hey DreamCruiser,

I responded to your PM. Denso makes a unit for about $750 which runs $900 installed. Most Toyota dealerships should be able to get you the Denso Reman unit. If not talk to American Toyota Albuquerque, they do for sure. I'm not very hands on, so I went this route.
