That site is very interesting. If you read their "issues and problems" it seems that they are almost at the end of the road of their 375k mile 20 yr trip - the truck is rusting away, and they seem to think that they need a dealer to get NOS parts and have a dealer do the work. It is a tough read due to the ESL issue.
" After our huge disappointment we still had to read the following, a little bit cynical remark of Toyota de Venezuela: “There is a very active LandCruiser owner’s organization in Venezuela, who is very interested in getting to know you”. As a matter of fact, this is pretty positive – but just by answering innumerable and curious questions, our vehicle’s appearance doesn’t improve und its future remains still uncertain. Once the inquisitiveness is satisfied, we dare to doubt that there would have been any substantial support – a conclusion of more than 20 years of experience! Fortunately the story ended with a positive surprise in Guyana: The emergency repairs generously haven’t been billed."
It also seems that they have very limited mechanical knowledge. They shipped a vehicle to get the water pump and radiator replaced!?!...
Too bad they aren't in the US, I am sure some local TLCA club wouldn't mind chipping in some time to help these guys sorted. They seriously need Cruiserparts number for used parts...
