Metho in washer.

I have heard that putting methylated spirits in the washer bottle the water won't freeze. I have experimented with this by putting a 25% methylated spirits and 75% water mixture in the freezer. It has not frozen solid, but it has gone to an icey state that won't work through the washer. Does anyone know the right mix ratio and does it actually work.

Call me stupid, but Ive never had a problem with the blue stuff. Just pour it in, no ratios to worry about, never had it freeze. Im in Nebraska and it gets down to -5 or -10.

Maybe youre in Antartica or something and I should shut up.

There are skifields about an hour from where I live.
