I will be calling them when they open. I think most of the trails we run are affected

I know these roads would be fine since they are main roads and they dont close except due to a washout etc. They include

20N04 This is the road that goes to Sanhedrin Lookout .....A chance to hit snow if not melted

M1 the main road that goes from Lake Pilsbury all the way to the Eel River work station. This is the raod that goes by "V" crack and where the Hull mountain Look out used to be.. Another chance to hit snow

M6 that runs through the state game refuge you can access m1 and make a loop that way as well...doubtfull any snow lower elevation than M1....We use this route when towing a trailer to go hunting instead of M1 since the road is very narrow approaching the peak of Hull mountain where it is not recommended for a trailer ...

I know I am posting a lot but after reading the closure notice ..and letting the Mt dew kick in to wake up I noticed the closure applies to the Upper lake ranger district and the Grind stone ranger district..

For those that dont know the area ..Upper Lake ranger district follows M6 around to the West side of the road back to M1 the other side is the covelo Ranger district..

Grindstone include stonyford area etc ...

Trail Closures

I just talked to the Upper Lake District Ranger that is in charge of Pilsburry Ohv trails and forest areas. There is an emergency closure in effect :bang:. She said do not plan on using any trails till the 24th. Everything is closed per the rangers order in effect with substatial fines for ignoring the closure. See the link in the first of this post. Bummer but since we are trying to keep the trail systems open it would look bad if we didn't follow protocal here.
