Right on Ed...

Thanks to all those who have served at such a great cost, and to those whose loved ones were lost for so great a cause, may we never take it for granted that we live in a great nation with an incredible heritage!!

My Dad joined the navy when he was 17. Served as a Seabee in places like Guam, Okinawa, Philippines, Alaska, 3 tours in Vietnam and then Guantanamo Bay Cuba building everything from roads to bridges, schools and churches, bunkers and airstrips. After building roads out of agent orange covered jungle and who knows what else he retired after 21 years and came home for good. Dad passed away in 1989 at the age of 53 from a heart attack on Easter Sunday with the whole family by his side. I miss him so much....and I'm so happy to be here in Oregon where, you may not know it being from here and all, but there are alot of places in this country where it doesn't even feel like a part of America anymore! Living here now, rather than Northern Mexico, I feel "home again". And I have the greatest respect for those who make the decision to enter the military. God bless and protect them all. :)
