Hello everyone.

Just to go over minutes from last meeting.

We had a good turnout at our last meeting. We had two new members show up, Tom from Ashburn, and Thomas who drove all the way up from Richmond with his girlfriend. Thanks for coming and we hope to see you at the next meeting guys.

We decided to put aside $500 of club funds to buying tools for the club. John Smith our Tech day director will be in charge of the purchases. if there are any tools that you would like to recommend, please let him know. John will post to the list before making the purchases so that everyone stays in the loop. All members in good standing will have access to these loaner tools for a defined period.

Our next tech day will be Jim Ross and his knuckle rebuild. Thomas said he might want to do his as well. Jim, what is the status on your parts!!!!

We are actively looking to increase membership. if you know of people interested in the club, let them know, bring them to the next meeting/event. Also, our Treasurer Ross C. will be in charge of making sure that all our members are paid up (since we have been a bit lax about this in the past). Just the remind everyone, all members of CLCC must also be members of TLCA (at this point in time, you need to do this on your own.)

The swap meet is well under way. The date is fixed for April 29th. It will be a joint venture between Nova Jeepers, Off Camber Crawlers, Maryland Creepers. We are looking to make this a more interactive club so that we can get to know more people in the 4wheeling community.

We are starting to plan our first official wheeling trip of the year to Rauch Creek. This will be a members only trip to take place weekend of March 11. Though this will be purely a fun club event, we hope to get some ideas to organize a bigger event in July 14-16. Though this event my not be an official CLCC/TLCA event, we would like to at least make it an unofficial event where we might spend some time organizing and advertising to get a bunch of people out for a great time. If this works out, we could make this into a signature CLCC/TLCA event of our own.

We also discussed the idea of having more social events outside of the dealership. It was decided at the first meeting of the month that the dealership was a good place to conduct business, we would like to hold on to this regular scheduled time of first Wednesdays. But as Josh suggested in his email (sorry Josh, have not yet had time to reply to you but i will), we need to have events outside of this location in more dynamic locations, where people can have room to park their rigs and check each other stuff out; after all, is about the trucks. With this in mind, i will leave it up to Andrew, our Social Coordinator to suggest (or organize) the next Cruiser happy hour outside of the dealership.

It was also suggested that business meetings should be just about business, and keep these meeting short and to the point so that we can get over to the beers ASAP.

Thanks everyone for coming out. If you have any suggestions for the club, feel free to call me anytime. And their are still 11 or so TLCA calendars left. they are going fast so make sure you get yours soon. contact Ross.

Sebastien,
President
CLCC
