Ms Radio was dropped at my DVM's office, snagged from a road about 10mi away by a good samaritan. The finder couldn't keep her, she didn't have a collar, and the vet was busy, wondered if I knew any local rescues. Gave them some info, and offered to foster her for a week, to provide some time to find her human.

as you can see, she's kinda shy.

But she came around quickly, after bribing her into the car and sweet talking her into the house. Didn't take long for her to demand her daily dose of human time, the better to demonstrate her special skills. Full body hugs, fox-like pouncing on the toy, and patience when it wasn't her turn.

That last photo is what got her a home....

No microchip, in season, broken back (hmm, stable compression fracture, where have I heard that before?) and internal bleeding. DVM did a powerful good thing in giving her a chance, rather than putting her into 'the system', where her fear of strangers, sticks and men would've cut her days quite short.

She bravely endured a visit from my sister's family, and by slowly accepting the men in that family, she now has one of her very own. I love seeing her pix on Facebook, and always ask for more.

Kudos for finding her a family! She looks like she may have some healer in her.

^ could be, she's a puzzle. dense double coat, cream over white w/underlying spots on her front legs. Triangle shaped head, and her tail.... she can wiggle the upper part side to side or up and down while the lower part does the opposite, or a spin.

She accepts the 4 kittys as part of her new family, and her main job is to wake the teenagers so they can get to school.

Too funny, Husker's job as well. But he hasen't grasped the 'go away' on the weekends yet.

Good looking dog, kudos to you for helping her out.

Rescued pets are the best.

Happy to report that ms Radio is doing well: just got to see her last weekend. Still has some herding dog issues (no, I prefer my shoes remain tied, thank you!), but her new healthy coat is coming in a dark wheat color (almost the fj60's Champaigne).

Before we left both my dobers were willing to play with her, so they spent time doing stuff together.

Thanks for all your support, and I encourage those who can to foster: it truely does save a life.

What an awesome little girl! And kudos to you for giving her what she truly deserves.
