Meet our new pup

Her name is Dakota.

A close friend of our's rescues dogs and gave me a call saying she took in a 5week sib huksy. She knew I have always wanted a sib. We get to pick her up this weekend. . Her friend also makes dog beds and used our pup in a photo shoot. Couple pics.

LOL, yep.

She was named Dakota, so we are just sticking with that. We like it.

Yep the yard and furniture will love her LOL. We have waited many years to adopt one (moving, apartments, etc) so actually feels pretty good we have a home and adequate yard to let her enjoy.

Siberians are great dogs- I sure miss mine.

Make sure you start obedience training soon. They like to run and make lousy watchdogs

When I was younger, and spent 24/7 with my buddy "Merle" he befriended a neighbor's Malamute who was part wolf. Loved that dog, he would sneak up and trip me as we were running and both of them would laugh when I went down..Smart bastids..

Well she is great dog. Excellent temperament. Plays well with our little maltese and cats. She can get a little distracted at times. but pretty well behaved and smart. She knows her toys vs the kids, sits, comes, etc. Not perfect and still have bad days, but better than I expected to honest. Just more training.

She really is a beautiful dog in more ways than one.
