Mechanics who are excellent with TLC in NE

Every region has its mechanics/garages to go. What places/mechanics/garages would you guys recommend to those unfortunate/fortunate to live in NYC area? This place is famous for jacks of all trades but true nitty gritty mechanics who are excellent in their field are hard to come by. Any recommendations?

not even one response????? Do I need to move or what? The thought of an inexperienced mechanic touching my rig sends shivers down my spine. There is got to be at least one place where everybody knows my Toyota's name. Come on guys, I feel like I am stranded somewhere in the middle of the Rorcky Mountains and nobody is stopping to help.

I use Prestige Toyota (in NY, not NJ). Had them do all the custom work on my 4Runner and they have been servicing both our 100s. I have never had a bad experience with them, but, like any dealer, they are pricey.

They are in Kingston NY, so 2 hours from you. Depends on how far you want to travel. 100s are celebrities there.

Thanks for the info. 100 miles is far but not far if they are as good as you have presented them to be.

Ask for Ryan or Pete as a service advisor. Very good about telling you what should be done, what's fine, and what can wait.
