Hey guys,

Not sure if this is the right section or not but I'm in need of a mechanic that can assist me with a desmog on my 78 40. I've been wanting to do one for some time now but just can't afford what shops (that know what their doing) want to charge. I've also considered doing this myself but simply don't have time with my work situation.

I'm prepared to leave my rig with someone to do the operation and will pay them. Time is not an issue but doing it the correct way is! My carb is fairly new (reman) so I'm pretty sure it doesn't need a rebuild.

My motor runs pretty good but has it's moments at times. I also believe that it may need a manifold gasket.

Please let me know if you would be interested in doing something like this. I can bring it to you and drop it off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I highly recommend the guys at ACC. Their rates are very reasonable and they stand by their work. They do things on time and have forgotton more about cruisers than I could ever know. My pig is there now for a once over before she is deemed complete. They also did the rest of my brother's cage and did a great job...again, on time and for a very fair price.

They will give you a free estimate by the way. Might be worth the trip.

Thanks a lot. I will contact them for a quote!
