If it were an LS based swap I'd recommend George at valley hybrids but he's Sacramento area I believe.
The 2uz is relatively unfamiliar territory but whoever said it couldn't be done isn't aware of slee offroad in CO. They've done the swap and for a project of that scale would not be a bad consideration. Sure you incur an extra grand in shipping but gain experience, confidence, reliability, and professionalism. Not sayin there isn't a guy near you that can do it ..... Maybe pm clanino and see who is doing his 6litre swap in your area.
And a heads up. Price tag was around $25k

Look up Service Pros Automotive in San Marcos. Jeff also has an 80, and we both have been talking about doing swaps in our's. I'm sure he could tackle the job....and be good practice for mine

yeah i was thinking of an LS aswell for the HP. reason being im gunna be using all 7 seats lol more weight. and yeah i got the idea from slee but its alot of money i rather just rebuild my straight 6 buy a new fj80 lol. thanks for the info.

Look up Service Pros Automotive in San Marcos. Jeff also has an 80, and we both have been talking about doing swaps in our's. I'm sure he could tackle the job....and be good practice for mine
