Hi
A couple months ago I became the proud owner of a 2004 LC. There are a few issues I need to have repaired and was wondering if anyone recommends a mechanic in Eastern Massachusetts (I'm in Concord).
Thanks
Chris

Chris, the only LC specific shop in our neck of the woods is Cruiser Solutions in NH. I think it's about a 30 min drive from Concord. They seem to specialize in older LC's, but I'm sure they're servicing 100's by now. I'm in the market for an '03+, but haven't found mine yet so don't have any first hand experience.

What do you need repaired, i.e. LC specific or general maintenance? I have an excellent all-around mechanic in Cambridge for basic repairs. I'm also friends with GM/owner of Wellesley Toyota for more complicated work. BTW I grew up in Bedford, MA.

Thanks for the responses.
Things I've noticed on my 2004 with 96K. Most of these things popped up when the weather got cooler.

1) Two second delay in transmission shifting into drive or reverse after cold start

2) Knocking/vibrating noise come from engine on cold days when idling. It
goes away (or I can't hear it) when the truck is moving over 5mph. After forum research, maybe it's just the engine cover rattling?

3) whining noise on cold start until the truck is warmed up. It gets quieter as the truck gets warmer and eventually when accelerating.

4) Will need new rear brakes soon.
