Hi all. My bro in Ore wants me to do the McGrew run with you in July. Curious if I don't have rock rails will I trash my panels or is that just the guys going off the main trail In the big rocks?

You should be fine without sliders, there are bypasses to the more nasty sections.

Or, you could follow Aric and screw that new truck all to heII whichever you choose, we'll have fun either way! :hillbilly:

What do you have, spiderman? Last year I did the trail in a bone stock LX470 without an issue. No sliders or bumpers, just some Goodyear Duratracs.

With a little wheeling experience behind the wheel. ;)

Although I agree, very doable in a stock rig unless running something ridiculous low (honda civic..... but still DOABLE!)

33" tires recommended. There is a lot of brush that will reduce the glare off your shiny paint. It is definitely not risk free.

I've got a 2010 Taco with the 4x4 pkg. Put a 6" Fabtech suspension lift in last summer and 33s. Guess I should admit mobydick is my bro, sadly.;)

How about admitting spiderman is your favorite underwear David...!? :flipoff2:

I did it in a bone stock samurai. The tire size was 26"! I dinged my front diff pretty good and I peed blood for a month! BUMPY and 10x more bumpy when you have no sidewall!

Although if you drive like Chris I would say the minimum tire size is a 38"!

Lets be honest.... Chad behind the wheel is his own worst enemy..... :)

Ouch!

It was only the second time I ever had my LX470 in low range. First time ever on the trail... but yeah, I've been wheeling for a while.

As stated, you should be just fine. You will get some trail pinstriping though.

Oh yes David, save some room in you bed for a few of my things. Is it a 4 door or what? Maybe you can haul some of my kids and "stuff" so I don't break another stack of leaf springs! I'm hoping to have a used OME kit on it by then from Orange George down in Stockton.

PS, we also need to make sure we're near the front of the line- that way lots of people help desperately with any "repairs". :hillbilly:
