Good morning - I've been lurking for a few years now and have finally decided that I may seriously consider picking up a 2011 LC200 for a daily driver - weekend excursion vehicle. I have found one near me (yet to see in person) that on it's 3rd owner - been in New England it's entire life. It has undercoating that is covering some rust...for certain. But has pretty good maintenance records since new, one minor accident. 3rd row seats are missing.... But that is all I know for now. I am unsure if there are records of valley pan or timing....so I may factor that into my offer.

My question(s) - What visual things should I look for when I look at the vehicle this weekend? Any deal breakers that I should be aware of ahead of time?

Thank you in advance!

There are tons of threads out there on common issues with this platform, but a 2011 with accident history and some level of New England rust should be a sub 20k vehicle to start unless the miles are really low (like sub 150k). Even then, I wouldn't even dream of paying over $25k for it, and I haven't even seen it. Also don't overpay for a 2011 just because it is "newer" than a 2008, the 2008-2011 are all pretty much the same.

I'd look at comparable vehicles in the for sale section, as well as national searches. Set your parameters for mileage, age, and condition. Don't overpay for a local truck in hand.

Personally undercoating over some amount of rust is a dealbreaker for me above anything else. Spotty maintenance and even accident repairs are less scary than poorly dealt with rust.
