It was a cold, rainy night....
We had six in attendance for the meeting, and since the weather was thunder-storming, we moved inside Lost Friend and secured a table. We talked about new calendar updates as well as our scheduled trail rides for the next three months.
Two additions--June 11 (Saturday) is the annual Gold Camp/Old Stage Road cleanup hosted by Pikes Peak Ranger District. Once again, Colorado Springs Christian 4-wheelers is the organizer and main group. This is usually a large event, with about 100 volunteers from several 4x4 clubs. Those who want to volunteer, see the separate thread that will be posted soon.
June 17 (Friday) is the farewell/retirement send-off potluck dinner for Ranger Rick Ellsworth. Additional details will be posted in the separate thread for this topic.
Coincidentally, the TLCA monthly meeting (Zoom video and phone conference) was Tuesday night, so we dialed-in and listened to the call. The major point of business was to approve the revised bylaws and Operating SOP. The bylaws are revised to better state "what", and the SOP is updated to describe or prescribe "how". One can think of these revisions as administrative "housekeeping" because over the past 4-5 years some of the "how to" has changed. Now, the bylaws should remain relatively static, with periodic updates to the Operating SOP.
