Hi my 2000 cruiser master window switch is acting up. The drivers front auto switch is loose and loses contact. Is there a way to repair the switch? Anyone know a source for a replacement. Looks like they are available aftermarket. Anyone know a decent aftermarket switch as the dealer one is super expensive even with my employee discount

idea

I had a switch acting up on my driver switch bank. After being thoroughly unimpressed by the ebay, dealer, salvage options, I ended up taking it apart and swapping the switch with one of the rear switches.

You'll still have a broken switch, but at least it won't be the one you use all the time.

:meh:

Ok. I just took it apart. I have a little crack as described in the fix but the crack doesn't move when I apply pressure. Looking closer it appears the nub for the rocker motion of the switch is broken. When viewed from the side the rocker pin moves up and down when playing with the switch. I tried applying pressure to it as if to snap it back in but nothing helped. I guess I am down to buying a new master unless someone else has a different idea. All your help is appreciated

I went on ebay couldn't find any switches under 300. All the cheap ones were for pre 98 cruisers. Send the link if you find one that works in mine for cheaper.thanks

still waiting for someone with an idea other than reaching deep for a new toyota master switch.

Still waiting for you to post pics that show the problem with yours. It may be repairable, which means $300 less in parts. FWIW, I couldn't find an alternative to the $300+ new master switch assembly which I why I decided to open mine up and take a look.

Maybe contact the folks in Golden, CO and see if they have a used one to sell you. I got a PS from them a few years ago.
