After about 2 days you should be good. That's the same thing my Tacoma would do. Unless you still have the problem
 
I live in MD; have an 97 80 with a persistant P401 CEL, leaking cats and can speak from experience.
-The Frederick County VEIP station near my house can't dyno an AWD vehicle.
-No sniff test unless you are on the dyno.
-If you do not have a CEL they will not connnect you to a computer
-They will check to see if your gas cap leaks

I have a scanguage and just reset my CEL as I pull into the parking lot. I've passed the test three times now.

Have you taken it recently? The computer at the one I went to could tell that the CEL had been cleared.
 
Last time I has to take it in was over a year ago. But, like I said, no light = no hook up to the computer. Must just be FredNeck county.
