I'd go ahead and NOT buy the caps from the dealer. Waitit out and find a pair on eBay or something for a lot less. I just sandblasted and painted my rear caps, but after putting them back on I decided I like the simple look without them. Mine never came with ones for the front, but I agree with Pimp that they do look funny and hide any problems. Plus it has sort of a more retro look without them. I might be willing to part with one of my sets of rear caps. I have a set of nice clean ones painted satin black, and a set with surface rust if you're in a do-it-yourself kinda mood. PM me if you're interested.

Interior looks very nice! But... the seats have all been reupholstered, and not in the OEM fashion. Just an FYI because it seems like you might be anal about that type of thing and a stocker is worth the most when as close to stock as possible.

Those are seat covers:

The seats underneath are pristine (they look like they have always had the covers on). The only problem is there is a small tear on the side of the drives seat. It has been repaired but I am not satisfied with the work. I have seen great vinyl repair jobs where you can't tell theres been a tear.

I have been looking at readers rides pics for what the wheels look like without the covers, but I haven't found any good shots yet (especially with the stock chrome wheels).

I have put the rears back on, Connie(the 62 is hers) wanted hers back after I stole them to use on my 82 fj40 ;) and I must admit with the stock wheels the rears look much better wtih the caps

My dealer in Tacoma has no problem with returning parts, but I buy ALOT of parts from them. I remember 9 years ago when I 1st ordered some stuff from them, I was told no return on specail ordered parts(which was anything not in stock at the dealer) and they wanted me to pay before ordering.........well needless to say we did away with that policy pretty fast. If your in the tacoma area I will glady hook you up with my parts guy and my discount.

the tear on the side of the driver seat is VERY VERY common, oddly our 90 fj62 has no tear nor does my fj60............but on both the interiors are mint and were covered from when they were sold new

Tacoma isn't far from me at all (in Seattle). I am new to the area so I have never been though. I ordered the parts from the dealer in Kirkland (by my work at MS).

Thanks for the pic. I like the way it looks. More utilitarian. Maybe I will try to wrangle the fronts off myself and see how it looks. As you know the toolkit with the tool is "in the mail" but would it be okay to try and take it off with like a screwdriver or something, or should I just wait for the toolkit?

Hey Pimp Daddy, will that clear turn signal side marker on your 62 fit on the 60?

I dont like those bloody orange marker lenses.
