Hey Fellas,

Yet another nooby question... I am just full of them!

I was wondering where you go to find info and maps on/for 4X4 friendly trails and roads? None of my back roads books have any... unless mountain bike trails are fair game... vroom vroom... Forestry service maybe?

Steve,
You have a few options.
1 you can get the backroad mapbook and explore (not too accurate but helpful)
2 checkout websites like the provincial base map from http://maps.gov.bc.ca/ and explore.
3 buy the 4 wheelers handbook which has lost of common trails, but sometimes is outdated, as trails change constantly (not to mention get closed down constantly)
4 join a local 4x4 club and learn from past experiences, cause good members are a wealth of information
or 5 just pick a logging road and go explore.
Best would be to do most of these and then you covered all your options!

Cool Deny... Thanks :~)) I found a good back roads book this aft., but still looks like exploring is all part of the game! I guess you are never really sure what is open or closed.
