Hi Yah All

Anyone here have real world experience putting in a manual injector pump in their 1KZTE powered crusiers?
Particularly auto's.
Did you leave in the ECU and TPS and just put up with the fault lights?

Can you adjust the TPS to move the shift points (now that the engine is not using it)

Cheers

The transmission needs the TPS to have correct shift points.

It should be possible to modify or replace the pump with a manual unit. It would be best to figure out how to hook up the TPS to a non-electronic pump.

Thanks John

I have my current setup with the butterfly removed and what you would call the throttle body relocated... Now its a fly by wire so to speak.
No throttle cable connected to engine. :)
Plan was to run a second cable from the relocated position to operate manual pump and that way I still retain a TPS...Or dual cable it from the accelerator pedal. (still need the pressure cable for the auto)

I have heard of people just swapping in the new manual pump and leaving the old ECU in to just drive the auto....

Would be good to see how they faired.
