Pinnacle NC, sleeply little town where i grew up, has a beautiful campground called Jomeokee. It has a wonderful view of Pilot Mountain in the backdrop and is really large. I saw on NC4x4 they are binging in boulders from a nearby granite quarry to make a rock garden to try and create a new attraction.

As it sits, it's really not for anything but the most capable buggy, and I can't imagine it being more than VERY tedious. I foresee people having to be lifted out by a excavator :D But, in their defense, it's not finished yet so I think maybe they'll add some dirt to make it more realistic. Owner plans to cut some trails (couple of miles total) from what I understand. I'm sure I'll check it out as my parents still live nearby and I'll be within a 1/4 of the campground fairly often.

That doesn't look that bad man, why don't you just drive up?

Seriously though, that doesn't look as intimidating as Rock Creek at RC in PA. I'd hit that rock garden like a freight train, if I had armor.

I dunno man. I've done Rock Creek a couple times. Those rocks are definitely bigger. I'm sure it'll get some massaging to make it runnable by something other than comp buggies though.

Ramon - How long is the drive out there?

Does look fun though. :D

Shade under 2hrs.

Just to clarify, because pics are hard to really tell... no way I'd throw Dozer in there as it sits. There aren't really any defined "lines" yet, and I could see no good ending. We'll see how they wind up, but that's why I had Emma in the pic, it's hard to gauge the size of those rocks - they're pretty big and stacked up real tight. Well, that, and she's not hard on the eyes :D
