So, i've been looking around for tail light guards and I decided that I liked the black guards by Manik. I've been waiting for some time because all the places selling them said that Manik was moving to a new location, so their products were unavailable for a short time. Well, I called a retailer yesterday and she told me that Manik has gone out of buisness. I was bummed because those are the only tail light guards I like. Anyhow, I looked on e-bay and I found a couple peopel selling them at a great price. I got mine brand new for $125. There are only two sets left and I think another vendor has a few as well. If you are interested in this product I'd act now. They won't be around for long if Manik is indeed out of buisness.

I would beware of some people. I have been searching for Manik tail light guards for several months when I responded to an add on the Blue room. Someone selling them had me send $150.00 for the guards and shipping. When they arrived they were the cheap ones from China that are sold for about $50. per set.

There are some out there who pray on the desperate or bait and switch in hopes people don't know the difference.

Good luck.

FYI-Steelcraft Automotive out of California manufactures the coolest looking tail light guards IMO.

Not as solid as the maniks (the one mounting tab) but IMO they look better. I consider taillight guards a semi-"bling" item anyway. If you get hit HARD, they get destryed AND you get BODY DAMAGE along with a cracked lens.

They ARE good for moderate to light "hits" as they've saved me a few times from bicycles and other items hanging off my garage walls.

Thanks for the warning, but I usually make sure the sellers have many high ratings. I usually only order from ebay as I think they are more reputable than craig's list or other sites like that. The tail light guards came, they are the correct ones, they were only $110, Installation was fast and easy (long story but I did it myself), amd they look great!

I do not consider them a bling item. I do not do much if any rock crawling, so I just wanted protection from branches and the like while driving through the bush. But even if they were blingy, to each his own. Plus I got the powdercoat black and not the stainless.
