I have been trying to find out the differences between the 3UR-FE US LC 200 381HP version and the versions sold to the rest of the world which produce 362hp.

When checking the engine parts list for a gulf spec 5.7 and a US spec 5.7 i noticed they were almost the same with one difference, the Gulf Spec didn't have a Manifold Air Injection System listed under the engine parts section while the US 200 did.

I'm not a mechanic, so i do not have much knowledge regarding this topic but would this be the reason why the American versions produce slightly more horsepower and torque?

The exhaust manifolds on the GCC 200 Series are the likely reason for the loss. They appear to be a simple log style, unlike the tuned tri y units that the USA model receives. GCC Cruisers also get the precleaner style airbox, good for dust removal, not so good for power up high.

Thats new info to me, thank you very much !

Speaking of different regions, do you think an American Spec LC would be able to handle the harsh heat of the desert with no problems at all?

Would the Air Conditioning system vary from one version to another? I know Texas and the southern states tend to get really hot in summer and it can reach very high temperatures just like the Middle East .Does that mean vehicles sold in the southern states come with different cooling systems compared to vehicles going to colder states? Or is that all just a myth.

I noticed on US spec vehicles the temperature gauge needle is always half way between cold and hot as oppose to GCC spec vehicles which always run on a cooler temperature.
Thanks a lot

The LC 200 in europe has 2 Aircons mounted. I can tell you in three months - how he handles the heat in the desert...

In Dubai i has a testride with an FJ Cruiser - he has a single aircon - and inside was arround 30 Celsius..

Far i know are the less power editions only single-turbo - and the 389 PS Version has a bi turbo engine. But i`m not technically skilled - maybe some one else has a proven statement about.

Surfy
