Making a FJ60 Fuel injected!! (ignor the other post)

I have a 85 FJ60 and I want to make it fuel injected how bad does this suck? Has anyone done it in here?

Two general options...swap in the 3FE head/fuel injection or use a GM throttle body system. Between the 40 and 60 forums, there are a number of threads on FI. Also check the tech section, there are some posts there as well.

I was just inches away from doing this very thing when I decided to go V-8 instead. Now I'm putting the TBI on the 350 years later. It isn't too horrible using GM TBI stuff, it's easier to understand then I thought it would be. I drove a Jeep once that had a grafted in GM TBI system, and although the install was sloppy, it ran great! You will want to get a distributor that can be controlled by the computer as fuel is only half the picture, ignition the other half. I think DUI makes one. Anyway, they are out there. Also check with Downey as I believe they offer a kit. Have fun and good luck!

I would buy Al's and be done with it and sell yours to recover some of the cost or keep it.
