Just thought I'd show off my new Milwaukee mag drill..

Model number is 4270-20..

These are awesome for any kind of drilling in any position on steel. I use these a lot for fab on thicker plate with annular cutters.

Milwaukee 4270-20 Compact Electromagnetic Drill Press ? 450 RPM

I need to order the 3 jaw chuck for regular twist bits to go along with the 3/4" Weldon shank chuck that's on it.. Maybe next week...:grinpimp:

I've got a buddy with one of those. They are a sweet unit, congrats.

I worked at AFCO steel years ago, thats what we used, its a great drill and expensive. MIke

Mike you are correct. The regular drill press I looked at was 650.00 so... I got this one for less than 800.00 locally.. The one I really liked using in the past was a Fein... 2800.00 for that model, OUCH!!

I'm gonna build a table/press stand for this one. I inspected at a shop in Ohio for a customer that had built one and it was very ingenious. Made the drill more versatile than it already is.

specs are impressive .. didn't know about it ..

Capacity to cut up to 1-1/2" diameter holes thru 2" steel with annular cutters, or 1/2" diameter holes, 4-1/4" deep with twist drill bits

T, This is a smaller to medium sized mag drill. I've used some that will cut a 3" hole through 6" plate. But, those are some serious coin..

This one will drill a 1" hole in 1 1/2" plate with a twist bit all day as well.

This should work for several years for me I hope.
