Any one use the MAF U-bolt flip kit? how did you like it? any issues? I am debating whether or not to buy a kit for the front and rear of my 75... any input would be great. :hhmm:

Welcome.

Many have used it and like it. I have install a lot of them on customer trucks.

Do you have any pictures of the front axle? I'm curious about the u-bolts closest to the diff, dose the kit accommodate this or is there a mod required?

They are all over in the threads you would find if you searched...

Yes, the top plate is designed to accommodate the difference in the axle housing by the differential...

I had them years ago, loved them, great mod for a SUA 40. I could totally tell the difference in having less to drag over the rocks.

If you look hard enough you might also find a few threads on how to make your own. Think I saw something similar from Ruff Stuff - not sure, but it'd have to be cheaper - that's the only downside with the Man-a-Fre stuff - but it was nice stuff, so I didn't mind ponying up for two sets.

Good luck.

Hi All:

Yes, one can fab-up their own "home-brewed" u-bolt flip kit, but after all the work involved the bolt-on ease of the 4Plus (aka M-A-F) flip kit is very nice! :D

Regards,

Alan

I used the MAF4+ flip kit before IPOR did a SOA conversion on the 74 FJ40. Well designed, beefy, and easily installed.

I love mine. Super strong! Contact lcwizard on here. Dave can get them to you for a much better price than M$F.
