Mac (my dog) needs a new home.. :(

It is a tough thing to swallow but my dog needs more than our family can give him. He is an 8 year old 75lb. border collie Labrador mix, afaik. He has severe separation anxiety and goes crazy when the fireworks or gunshots are going off. He is extremely pack oriented and wants to be with his people all the time. I am thinking that he needs a home where he can spend all of his time with his people, going for rides, hanging out and being a member of the family. Our lifestyle doesn't include him all the time and he is the nicest, friendliest dog I have ever owned, he is just emotionally needy. He likes to run, walk, explore and gets along OK with other dogs depending on their personality. He loves to chase cats but has never hurt one and we don't own one so I don't know how he would do with a family pet feline.. We have 3 acres and he tends to stick around while we are home but the neighbors have seen him exploring while we are gone so he has to be tethered.. He hasn't been a house dog but has never made a mess when he was inside and prefers to do his business out of the way out side.

Wish we could help but 4 dogs is our limit. They flung poo everywhere last night when things got popping. And they are all inside dogs! I'm sorry Kief- it's a heart breaker I know.

Its not so much of a heartbreaker but it is one of those things that when I come home and want to ____ something that I like normally I just realize if he could attach himself to the right folks and get through the transition then that would be better for him and us..
