Yes, MaBell is still an open, legal trail that the NEA is working very hard to keep that way.

However, one big WARNING as of today...

Effective Immediately

The mud hole is CLOSED to vehicular traffic of any kind. Period. End of story.

All vehicles must travel to the left of the mud hole on the trail that goes around.

The reason is a 5 gallon oil container (probably gas) that someone left floating in the water.

The town will close the trail immediately if there is any further traffic there.

Spread the word. Immediate closure.

Closed, if you have heard difrent its somebody wheeling outside the limits of 'legal' its too bad but the greenies got that one...

FAIK: MA bell is a favorite party spot of local kids, evidence being lots of trash on that trail.

Conjecture is that it fell off or floated off a rig. The town already pulled it out but they made the mudhole off limits for now.
